RUNNING FROM GOD

An Accidental Autobiography

About

"Running From God" started as a guide for Baby Boomers on living a healthy lifestyle. But along the way, I got sidetracked. When I spoke with Baby Boomers about it, they shared feelings, fears, and anxieties about aging and mortality instead of just health and fitness ideas. These conversations revealed how deeply these concerns influenced their ideas about health, fitness, and almost everything else. I realized that understanding the "why" behind our lifestyle choices is just as important as the "what." So, I started adding my experiences with the emotional and psychological aspects of health, fitness, and aging and before I knew it, I was writing an autobiography. I tell the story of how, after a health scare in my late fifties, I started working out again at sixty, and now, at seventy-four, maintain a daily exercise schedule of running, weights, and flexibility. But the book isn't just about my journey. It also includes comprehensive information and instructions on workout programs, nutrition, sleep, and other essentials for maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle as you age. It's an informative, funny, and heartfelt look at fitness from a new perspective, designed to educate and motivate while exploiting every opportunity for a cheap shot at Millennials. OK Boomers, this one's for you.
